Exercise and Limits

How much can I exercise and still exercise safely? When starting a diet and a new exercise regimen, it is never healthy to overdo it. Many people make the mistake of being overzealous when they first start their weight loss program, only to find that they either hurt themselves or lose interest in the new routine. It is far better to enter into a new diet and exercise regimen and to practice the exercise in moderation. Yet, what is meant by the term moderation when it comes to exercising and weight loss?

When it comes to exercise and limits, the body knows best. For example, if someone starts and exercise routine and they begin to experience pain, it's the body's way of sending out warning signals. One more crunch or sit up may actually be bad for the exerciser-pulled muscles, fatigue and pain are the result. It is easy to avoid accidental injury when exercising however. The exerciser simply needs to set a routine of moderation, no more than three times a week for 30 minutes exercising is an excellent plan for all beginners. After the routine has been practiced a while and the exerciser's body has gotten used to the routine, then they can add more time to their exercise routine.

The key to understanding exercise and limits is for the exerciser to "be aware of their body". It's wonderful for someone to make a serious effort toward weight loss, but getting in shape is a gradual process-not a process that can be rushed through over exercising and a severely restricted diet. Therefore, every exerciser needs to set limits, eat healthy, and to be patient; the result is well worth the wait.
